Liars, Cheats and Hypocrites.

Anyone who claims they’ve never cheated in football is a liar, anyone who says that the would tell the referee is a liar, and anyone who takes this for more than an unfortunate incident is a hypocrite. If it was an Irish play who did this I doubt there would be much if any recrimination heading his way.

Why I’m not worried about van Persie’s Absence.

There is no reason why we won’t continue scoring 3 goals a game without RVP, he was on a good run of form, but the team is red hot to. Bringing in Eduardo is just adding fresh wood to the furnace.

Isn’t that a sign of a good team.

So we were a shadow of our usual standards and letting in two goals so early on looks bad, but the truth is most of us were confident of a comeback. Teams like Standard Liege are just not good enough.

Eduardo dived, it’s time to move on.

The whole Eduardo episode has overshadowed the good start we’ve had to the season. UEFA has banned Eduardo for 2 games in the vain hope that it will deter other would be divers. If that’s the case then let’s just forget about it and move on.

Arsenal 3 Celtic 1, Eduardo becomes the new Ronaldo.

Arsenal was sublime and Celtic could not match the level of football Arsenal displayed in either leg. Sadly last night will be remembered for one thing only — Eduardo’s dive.
