Advantage Arsenal, but at what cost.
What an enjoyable game, it cost us injuries to Gallas and Almunia, but in my opinion it was fantastic. Two sides playing good football, both wanting to win, with good refereeing made for an unusually wonderful contest.

It’s time to cut Eboue adrift.
Looking past his obvious faults it’s easy to see what he could bring to the team. Yesterday for 30 minutes it looked like he was intent on showing us exactly why he is in the squad, with pace and power, his surging runs unsettled Tottenham. He was easily the outstanding player on the pitch until he lost the plot.

On the subject of funds the manager was very determined to point out that Arsenal would only do business the Arsenal way in fact the correct way and not just throw money at the teams problems.

Gallas gets some loving, media myths.
The whole episode of Gallas’ captaincy was a miscalculation by Wenger. While the central defender does have some qualities you look for in a leader, he had a record of media blunders and continued this poor record during his stewardship.

Eduardo is back, Gallas still not sure
The big question was what would be Eduardo’s frame of mind coming back from such a horrific injury. His display last night showed glimpses of what Arsenal missed during those 10 months, he did everything with verve, no shirking from tackles, not afraid to take on defenders, and that uncanny ability to be in the right places was not lost

3 Games 3 goals and Gallas still unhappy
There are a lot of reasons why some fans are not enamoured by our captain Gallas, however if there is one thing we can all agree he is good at is his propensity to come up with the most important goals. On the 88th minute in last night game, a Gallas goal made the difference. . .

I agree we didn’t play our best, but if you had spent some money on players at the very least you would have the luxury of being able to make a substitution that could affect the game. As it is you had no choice but to persist with a non-existent midfield.
