Except for the small amount earned for actual games played Champions league TV money has nothing to do with how many teams left in the competition at this stage and everything to do with your domestic tv market combined with how well you do in your league.

First things first, I really wasn’t to enthused about the purchase of Silvestre or his inclusion in any line-up but last night he showed calm and composure that gave the team a platform to express themselves. So on this occasion, well done to Silvestre.

Good referees should not be noticed.

What Adebayor did on both occasions is a common ploy used to win and/or protect the ball. Not even a tackle, it’s just putting yourself between the opposing player and the ball to do so requires you to lift your leg over the ball and placing it between the ball and the player. While there is an argument for a foul, there is none for a yellow card.
