Carling Cup, so close yet so far.
So the Carling Cup has ended the opportunity for fringe players to get a run out. This time, whether there’s been a change in attitude, or was the quality of performance on display, or the cost of opposition, this time does not feel as bad as the others.

Was Middlesborough a rehearsal for next season?
As preparation for games go I’d say that instead of the game being a rehearsal for the next game, it was a rehearsal for next season. The good thing being that Djourou was able to get some minutes under his belt and players like Cesc, and Walcott was able to be taken off quite early in the game.

Internationals over now back to real football.
The last time that Arsenal lost in the premier League was against Manchester City, but that was a different Arsenal and tomorrow will be a different game, we owe them.

Hleb for Arshavin?
