Youth Double, Moyes Triple.

We must be careful not to over hype these boys as there hardly a correlation between success at this level and success at a senior level. Nevertheless although we have had plaudits at the youth level never has the team been so dominant and it can only bode well for the future. If the 6+5 rule does come into fruition then at least we have a modicum of choice in our youth ranks, only 4 foreigners was in Arsenal’s squad last night and 3 in the first leg.

Money Money Money – Does Arsene have any to spend?

It is hard to know what to believe when it comes to the question of money, the board says there is money available, while Wenger says we have to buy to sell. Please Arsene spend some money.

Arsene on transfer spending

“When you lose a game the solution is not always to buy,” said Wenger. “Did we play at our best? I say no and so we have to look at why?

I agree we didn’t play our best, but if you had spent some money on players at the very least you would have the luxury of being able to make a substitution that could affect the game. As it is you had no choice but to persist with a non-existent midfield.

Summer madness and country life.

Does having a meeting with agents of another club, under the pretext of having ice cream constitute proper gentlemanly conduct? Hleb’s agent surely thinks so. Mr “20%” would like us to believe that Hleb is after all a Gentleman and likes to do things the proper way. I recently pointed out that Hleb will be [...]
